Hope2Offer Ministries Charity
Hope2Offer Ministries is a not-for-profit organization that is involved in humanitarian and disaster relief projects. One of the charity's most notable projects was the "Hope2Offer Project" which helped to raise $270,000 to provide water systems for the villages of Gershe, Kira, Golile, Rahila, and Germuha in Ethiopia. Since then, we have been able to partner with several different international organizations to support other areas such as: India, China, Cambodia, Philippines, Haiti, Mexico, Columbia, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic. As you read on, you will be able to find more information on some of these projects and our partner organizations.
First Year Orientation's Leader & Squad Leader
Imagine Day, University of British Columbia
Imagine day is one of the largest one-day orientation events in all of North America with over 7,000 incoming students, and 1,000 supporting faculty, students, and staff. Each of these new students has a chance to experience the vibrant UBC community, and university life at its fullest. Being involved with this annual event for two years consecutively, I have had the opportunity to lead incoming students as a "First Year Orientation's Leader" and to cultivate First Year Orientation Leaders as a "Squad Leader" by organizing training and bonding sessions throughout the year. The gallery below should give you a glimpse into what Imagine day at UBC looks like.
Belkin House Personal Development Program, Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Belkin House was established with the purpose of "breaking the cycle of homelessness." Despite being renowned as a beautiful city to experience, living on the streets of Vancouver is a much harsher image especially due to the constant rain and cold winters. Belkin House aims to help the homeless people in Vancouver by providing a Personal Development Program which equips them with essential life skills. While going through this program, each person is provided with shelter, food, water, and a chance to build a meaningful and lasting community. I have had the privilege of volunteering with Belkin House to provide meals and programs for the homeless in alternating months during the year.

School Construction Project, Dalit Freedom Network
In India, there is great disparity in the treatment of groups of people at various levels in the "caste hierarchy." In particular, there is one group of people named the "Dalits" who are considered "Untouchable." These people are considered outcast from birth. Dalit children often drop out of the educational system because of extreme discrimination and physical and verbal abuse. In partnership with the Dalit Freedom Network, Hope2Offer Ministries and other supporters have established a school for the Dalit children in Gaya, India. This school currently provides education to 172 children from eight villages around Gaya. We have made sure to help them understand that this school represents a place of refuge and enriching community, free from any sort of discrimination.
Below is a video detailing the current situation with the Dalit people as well as a gallery about the school that has been established through Hope2Offer Ministries and supporters.

Red Light Mercy Clinic Project & Laundry Project, Calcutta Mercy Ministries
Prostitution, and human trafficking is a prominent issue in Calcutta (Kolkata), India. The Red Light District of Calcutta, Sonargachi, has 10,000 prostitutes living and working in a one-mile radius. In partnership with Calcutta Mercy Ministries, Hope2Offer Ministries has helped to support two projects (the Red Light Mercy Clinic Project, and the Laundry Project) by facilitating the Annual Walk-a-thon.
The Red Light Mercy Clinic is purposed to help sick individuals recuperate from any illnesses or diseases contracted during their work.
The Laundry Facility is purposed to provide alternate safe employment for the women whose only prior financial option was prostitution.
Below is a gallery detailing both projects and a gallery of the Walk-a-thon event.
QUICHÉ | GUATEMALA
Run for H20, Hope International Development Agency
Like many developing countries, Guatemala has limited access to clean sources of water. Because this vital resource is in such low supply, many people in Guatemala become sick because of water-borne diseases and the inability to clean wounds effectively with sanitary water. In partnership with the Run for H20 team and Hope International Development Agency, Hope2Offer Ministries has supported this cause as a bronze sponsor. On June 22nd, 2013, $40,550 was raised for the establishment of water systems in Quiché, Guatemala. Below are two galleries: one detailing the condition in Quiché and the other detailing the day of the Run.
